WHAT IS MAGNETIC FILTER & HOW DOES IT WORK?
Magnetic Filter is a filtering and sorting device that uses magnetic force to absorb fine iron impurities in fluid and semi-fluid. It is usually installed inside or outside the hopper, discharge port, and transportation pipeline. When the material flows through the magnetic filter, the iron impurities will be firmly adsorbed on the magnetic surface, thereby effectively purifying the material and protecting the safety of downstream equipment.

Magnetic Filters are commonly used to filter fine iron impurities entrained in powders, particles, liquids, and gaseous materials. At present, the most common magnetic filters are tube magnets, and the equipments with main structure of tube magnets, such as: magnetic grids, drawer magnets, magnetic liquid traps, etc.

Tube Magnets
The Tube Magnet is composed of strong magnets and a magnetic conductive sheet to form a high-density magnetic field circuit. It is sealed in a stainless steel tube by argon arc welding. After a strict polishing process, the surface is smooth and leak-free, waterproof and anti-fouling. It can absorb ferromagnetic substances in mud and powder, and can absorb nano-level particles when using magnetic intensity above 12000 Gauss.

Grate Magnets
Grate Magnets aka Magnetic Grids, are installed or simply placed in the storage, drawer box, hopper and other places. They are used to capture and remove iron filings, iron pieces and other metal substances from the product flow.

Grate Magnets are made of several tube magnets with a stainless steel frame. The frame could be square or round depending on the pipeline shape.

GTEK can offer different types of grate magnets, such as easy-cleaning type, baffle equipped type. Through laser seamless welding technology, we can also provide food grade, pharmaceutical grade magnetic grid.
